I believe

. . . in our innate, ever-evolving capacity to create peace and bliss for ourselves and others. I believe words have magical powers, especially when combined properly. I believe we’re here to use whatever superpowers we’ve been given for the upliftment, betterment, and delight of all. I believe humankind is on the brink of an evolution of consciousness that’s going to blow our collective mind.

More than anything, I just want to be an effective member of the team that’s elevating the level of love and joy in the world. My positions on the team have included writing (both in my own name, and as a ghostwriter for other transformation leaders) and training individuals and groups in the art of authentic joy.

If you’re looking for a more formal bio, here’s the official one I use for conferences and such:

Lisa McCourt has taught joy—in all its many flavors—for over two decades to thousands of learners. Incorporating the techniques she's gathered from studying with and writing for many of the biggest names in the transformation world, her trainings provide the most effective, streamlined processes available for accessing and maintaining consistent, authentic joy and inner peace—processes backed by hundreds of scientific studies demonstrating substantial increases in health, cognitive function, self-esteem, stress-reduction, and emotional competence.

In addition to operating Joy School, Lisa is a bestselling author and ghostwriter specializing in the field of personal transformation. Her joyful passion for the power of words has propelled a diverse publishing career studded with industry awards, starred reviews, international honors, and mega-sales. If you have kids, you might have read them I Love You Stinky Face, her longstanding bestseller that Publishers Weekly called a “modern classic,” heralded for helping parents raise unconditionally loved humans who feel secure and cherished with all their precious imperfections.

Under her own name, Lisa has penned over forty books for adults and children in addition to collaborating with industry leaders such as Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, James Van Praagh, and Sunny Dawn Johnston. Combined, her books have sold over 9 million copies and earned over 9,000 glowing Amazon reviews. Published by Hay House, Scholastic, HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, McGraw Hill, Hierophant, Health Communications, and others, her books have won publishing awards, been featured on Lifetime TV, CNN, and PBS, garnered praise from over 200 publication reviewers, and been translated into 11 languages.

On the secret side of Lisa's publishing path, she's been the silent ghostwriter for many prominent thought-leaders, from New York Times bestselling authors to Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated Hollywood stars. Her clients have appeared on Oprah, Good Morning America, Saturday Night Live, The Dr. Oz Show, ABC’s 20/20, The View, The TODAY Show, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, and The Nancy Grace Show.

As the proud mom of a transgender daughter, she is also President of her local PFLAG chapter (the country’s oldest and largest LGBTQ support organization.) A former popular CBS Radio host, podcaster (Do Joy!), and joyful singer in Michael Beckwith’s global Agape Choir, she brings her passion and unique blend of skillsets to an eclectic career path that is ever mysteriously unfolding, just the way she likes it.

Topping the list at Amazon will likely be the bestselling I Love You, Stinky Face along with its many sequels, the latest being Thank You, Stinky Face. Many other books are there, too. I’ve been blessed to have had these opportunities to share my thoughts/feelings/words with so many like-minded souls, and I’m thankful every day for my beloved tribe of readers.

If you’d like to book a school visit or any other speaking gig, or if you are reading Juicy Joy and have come here to find the audio downloads, shoot me a message and I’ll get you set up.
